Ronny’s first stand up comedy gig was at a College Comedy competition in 2009, which he won.
The next year in 2010 he has was awarded 2nd place at the National Finals of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2010?s RAW Comedy Competition, and was described by The Age as “the clear crowd favorite”.
In 2011 Ronny was one of five comedians handpicked by the Melbourne International Comedy Festival to take part in the prestigious ComedyZone, a showcase comedy show produced by the Festival for the best up and coming comedians in Australia.
Ronny continued to work the Australian Stand Up Comedy circuit and in early 2012 Ronny was invited to perform at the Brisbane Comedy Festival 2012 to sell out audiences.
In 2012 Ronny was named by The Age as one of the top 5 up-and-coming acts to watch and one of the top 10 rising comedians in Australia by the Sydney Morning Herald.
Ronny won the 2012 Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Best Newcomer Award for his debut 1 hour comedy special “The Ron Way”, receiving rave reviews and sold out his entire four week run including the larger capacity extra shows that were added to cope with demand. He also performed his 1 hour comedy special at the Sydney Comedy Festival 2012, selling out his entire run.
The same year Ronny was invited to perform at the prestigious invitation-only Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival 2012 and at the SOHO Theatre in London’s West End.
In 2013 Ronny was once again named one of the Top Ten Hottest Comedians by The Age and the Herald Sun, and performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2013?s Opening Gala, which was broadcasted on Network Channel Ten, and the Sydney Comedy Festival Opening Gala 2013 at the Sydney Opera House.
Ronny performed his second 1 hour comedy special at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2013 “Can you do this? No you can’t.” and sold out his entire 24 show season after the first week, even after being moved to a larger 400 seat venue and doing an extra 1400 seat show at the Melbourne Town Hall Main Hall.
Ronny was nominated for Best Show at the Sydney Comedy Festival 2013.
The same year, he was invited back to the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival 2013 to perform on the Eddie Izzard Gala.
