Comedy Gives Back is hosting another Connect in support of the BIPOC Stand Up fund. Comedians who have questions about their application status or wondering if they are even eligible are encouraged to attend.
Connects are Zoom meetings for comedians that cover a host of topics: finding an agent, social media tips, mental health resources. This February, it has been the focus of the Comedy Gives Back team to distribute 400 BIPOC Stand Up grants. With Connects, CGB is able to directly communicate, over Zoom, any questions or concerns BIPOC applicants have.
Comedians who want to participate in Connect sessions need to be a member of the Comedy Gives Back private Facebook group for comedians. By signing up here for the group, comedians will answer 3 questions and agree to the rules. The Zoom links are then posted in the group on the day of the event.
